Wondering, “What does an urban planner have to do with creating motion videos?” It’s a great question, and the answer gets to the heart of what community development is all about. the COVID-19 pandemic, our small team at BRAC created a “Digital Play Lab” by producing weekly learning videos for children of different age groups. I led the creative process, from ideation to editing, without having any prior experience. This initiative successfully engaged the community and advocated for the importance of learning through play.

As an Urban Planner and Community Development Professional, this experience highlights my ability to identify a community need and develop creative, accessible solutions with limited resources. It showcases a hands-on approach to community engagement and demonstrates an understanding of how to use digital platforms to build social capital and promote community well-being, particularly during a crisis.
